Lap   Why a timer is critical to improving your score

Hi Everybody,
I just took two MGMAT Tests.
I was not able to complete the Maths section in both my attempts. Reached Question No.30 in the 73rd minute, hence had to put hurried up guesses in the rest.
In Verbal, I completed the entire section with few seconds left.
I scored 650 and 690 in respective attempts, but my overall accuracy remained same.
Maths - 20/37 and 21/37
Verbal - 21/41 and 22/41
Most of my wrong answers on Verbal are with CR. I am working on it.
Can somebody suggest if this is indicative of a poor, good or average score?
Not sure how close MGMAT tests are to the real GMAT. I know GMAT Prep tests are the closest, and I have saved the last of the two tests for later on.
Please suggest.

Anything over 680 puts you in the middle 80% of scores for top 5 programs, including Harvard (I believe). If CR is your weakness, then go for the PowerScore CR Bible. It's the best resource out there for this type of problem. Also, if you want some advanced questions, take a look at these free LSAT sets. Enjoy!

Thanks Dana. What I didn't get response on is - Making 17 mistakes in Verbal and Quant on MGMAT : is that bad for a dream score above 700. I am constantly working on my CR and RC, which is what consumes most of my time.
Please comment on what I should gather from these scores of 650, 690 and the latest one with 660 on MGMAT. Have got 16-17 wrong in each section in all the three tests.
