John Davies
Knewton - Math Lead
John graduated from Harvard University with a degree in English Literature, making him a natural fit for the Math Lead position at Knewton.
Despite the odd looks earned from his undergrad major, John has been negotiating mathematical minefields since grade school—winning several math competitions in elementary and high school. He was recognized as one of the top 45 math students in Texas in eighth grade, and qualified for the USAMO in tenth grade, making him one of the top 350 “mathletes” in the country that year. After picking up a perfect set of SATs on his way to Harvard, he aced one of the hardest math courses in the country in his freshman year, before his left turn down the English hallway.
When he’s not reading or adding, John likes to play Ultimate Frisbee and cheer for his beloved Roma football club in Serie A.
