Bringing Credibility to Online MBA Programs
In July 2011, UNC Kenan-Flagler launched MBA@UNC. Today, we have a vibrant community hailing from as far as Kuwait and China, many of whom recently attended an immersion weekend in San Francisco, where they further cemented their relationships as classmates and colleagues. Our fourth cohort of MBA@UNC students started on April 2, although some of them joined us for in San Francisco as their first class experience.
We believe this is the beginning of something pretty incredible, and it’s gratifying to see that others agree with us. Check out the article that John Byrne, former editor-in-chief of BusinessWeek and founder of Poets & Quants, wrote for his influential website and published by CNN Money/Fortune on Friday, March 23rd:
While online MBA degrees have been proliferating like daisies in an open field in recent years, Kenan-Flagler’s program is significantly different because it is the first time a top 20 school has put together an online effort with the publicly stated goal of making it the world’s best MBA program delivered over the Internet.
We truly appreciate John Byrne’s article, which captures the vision, goals and delivery of MBA@UNC, and enjoyed having him join us in San Francisco for the immersion on innovative and entrepreneurial thinking.
