Farewell, Reykjavik
Iceland was a blast! I’d highly recommend it to any and all who are looking for a slightly off-the-beaten-path vacation. The weather was surprisingly mild (given our apocalyptic expectations, anyway), the country is beautiful, the restaurants are great, and the nightlife is bumpin’.

We finished up our Icelandic adventure with a glorious roadtrip around the southern part of the island. Some pals and I rented a car to drive the “Golden Circle,” which is a day-long, three part adventure of natural wonders. We saw the site of the old Icelandic parliament, some sweet geysers, and a glorious waterfall. Some pictures of our journey are below!

We spent our last day in Reykjavik wandering around town and checking things out. A couple of pictures to set the scene for you:

Alas, we were unsuccessful in our efforts to stalk Bjork, but believe me, I tried. I freaked out more than one Icelander by sidling up to them and asking if they knew Bjork’s address. I suppose that would be like a random Icelander creeping up behind me and asking if I knew where Britney Spears lives…definitely weird.
Hope you enjoyed a peek into one of the more random trips I’ve ever taken!
