See attached document.

Although C ( the correct answer ) did sound better to me, I picked D, because C assumes that synthesizing a hormone is the same as making/creating one.

Can we really make this assumption on SC ?

Hey - yeah, that's okay. It changes it from "make a synthetic growth hormone" to "synthesize a growth hormone" - making something synthetic is the same thing as synthesizing.

FYI - my computer does not like downloading from this web site, unfortunately, and closes IE every time I download a file with a question. So if you specifically want me to respond to something, please post it as text rather than attaching a file - because of my computer's bad response, I generally don't download files here. Thanks! Smile

Ever thought of switching to Firefox? It's fantastic: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/

I have it installed already, actually - there are other reasons why I stick with IE as my main browser. But maybe I should start using firefox when I come on here! Smile

Option changes the meaning of the sentence, an assumption here is not needed.... Option D has a trap modifier & moreover it here is ambiguous
