Hi,
I have a GPA of 6.53 out of 10 from BITS Pilani (One of top 5 colleges in India). I have been working for 2.5yrs now. I plan to work for another couple of years before applying. Will a GMAT score of 760+ help me override my low GPA? I can get good recommendations from people who have done their MBA from top schools.
I have very good extra curricular.Strong community service record.
Also please let me know what I can do to improve my chances for the below mentioned schools.
Target schools: Top 15 B Schools
Low GPA from top college

You will definitely need a top score, but just remember in your essays to not make excuses for your undergraduate performance. Explain what happened and what you learned.

Taking some classes would definitely be beneficial.

Jim,
Would online courses (i.e Coursera or edX) be taken into account as 'taking classes' ?
Ninodecoro,
Pilani 2011 Passout here
I'm also on the same boat

Hey Jim,
I took the GMAT and scored a 700 (Q50,V35).
Not the greatest of scores. Should I consider retaking the test?

Hi Vishal!!
I suppose there are lots of MBA hopefuls like us in BITS . Which year are you planning for?
