    Hey,

    I'm looking for some advanced quant books. For the program I want to apply, it would be best if I score a 50 or a 51 in the quant section. I took my first prep test after I went through all the basics but without really doing exercises and scored a 43. I have been learning for 8 weeks now and can do most of the more advanced questions in the official guide, but I dont think I'm at a level of 50.
    I bought the advanced strategy guide by Manhattan, but havent worked on it yet. From what I've read this is the book with the most difficult questions. I want to work with that book last, so right now I'm looking for a book which is more advanced than the official guide, but not as advanced as the manhattan book.
    Does anybody have some recommendations? Has anybody worked with the "advanced word problems book" by Veritas?

    There are a lot of tough questions on this site as well. You could also look into resources of this site. Smile

    I agree that there are great resources online -- Beat the GMAT's library, posted question on these forums, URCH, GMAT Club, and of course Grockit!

    If you are working with reliable books from Kaplan, MGMAT, Veritas, OG, then you'll do fine. MGMAT is reflective of the required difficulty-level. Good luck!

    You may want to try Manhattan Advanced Quant. But since you are on 43 you can get to 47 without the above. You need to identify your weak areas and solve questions on them - Jeff Sacksman- Advanced Topic Wise Question Sets may be good for this purpose. After this you can try Manhattan Advanced Quant.

    Scoring a 50 in Quant is not that tough, scoring a 51 is. I would suggest you to improve your score in slabs of 3-4, i.e. you got to aim at a 47 and then 50.I started my quest towards the holy figure 51 and found the below online resources really helpful.
