Dear farrukhq,

Researching and identifying schools is an important step of the application process. Only you know what you are truly looking for in a program, so only you can truly determine what schools to apply to. If you are trying to identify programs by where you stack up on measures such as GMAT/GPA/years of work experience, then you are approaching this step in the wrong manner. Schools want to admit applicants that have done their due diligence and determined that their school is the best match, both in terms of curriculum and career opportunities. I strongly encourage you to visit our sticky on school selection and spend some time doing some research.

Good luck,
Lisa

Dear Lisa,

Thanks for your valued input. Your point is noted, however the only reason, to keep my GPA/Test Scores/Exp in perspective, while searching for the right school, is to have a realistic view of my chances of getting into a business school, as per the parameters given in the most recent class profile of that b-school.
As per your advice I have shortlisted few MBA Programs which suits my criteria. The problem is that I can't get required info about MBA job prospects in the city / country, of respective business school.

Please consider following factors while responding my query:

1) Job Prospects for International Students (In General) (Please mention any peculiarity, in case of applicant's origin from Pakistan)

2) Grant of Work Permit (easy or cumbersome )

3) Any other factor which you deem appropriate while considering job prospects

My B-School List: (All Australian Institutes)

Monash University
Uni. of Queensland
Aus. National Uni.
The Uni. of Adelaide
The Uni. of Western Australia

Regards,
Farrukh Qamar

Dear Farrukh,

I am afraid I can't be of much help to you as I'm not familiar with Australia's job market and how it relates to international students. My expertise is quite US-centric. Perhaps the school's have some information on their websites or you can contact the career services offices of these institutions? Or other readers are familiar with Australia?

Best of luck,
Lisa
