Hi cooldude:

I used Kaplan, Princeton Review, and GMATPrep practice tests during my preparation. You can see a breakdown of my scores here: http://www.beatthegmat.com/viewtopic.php?t=13

I haven't seen Kaplan Verbal material, but I can tell you that the Kaplan 800 material was tougher than the regular Kaplan GMAT book. Kaplan 800 only features advanced subject matter on the GMAT (example: permutations).

Best of luck!
