Hello
If you are talking about business schools admission interviews, here are a few pointers:-
1. Visit the universities' website and find out what they have to say about admission interviews. This can give you a broad idea of what schools look for in a candidate during interviews.
2. Many former applicants blog about their interview experience. You can read these blogs; this would give you a very good idea of the interview questions that are asked in interviews.
3. Get in touch with alumni of your school and see what advice they would have for you. After interacting with them and taking in their perspective, frame your own answers for the common interview questions that your school generally asks. Of course you may face some entirely new questions in your actual interview, but the more prepared you are the better you will face the surprise questions.
4. Gather as much information as you can about the school. Visit the school if possible. In the interview you will have to show how eager you are to join the school and how you would make a perfect fit for it.
5. Practice as much you can. Take the help of your family and friends and have as many mock interviews as you can before the actual interview.

Hi Jenny,
There a number of great resources out there and here are a few that might be helpful. The first video is by a former Assistant Director of Career Services at HBS:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SEPQVXUpAkA
The next is a blog on the topic (this was part of series around b-school admissions featured in the Economist):
https://fortunaadmissions.com/the-12-ste ... interview/
Be prepared for standard questions around your work history, why you want an MBA, why the particular school you are applying to, your strengths/weaknesses, what value you would bring to your MBA classmates, how you would get involved at the school, your post-MBA career plans, your long term aspirations, what you do outside of work, greatest accomplishments, etc. There are lots more to think about but this should get you started.
Thanks!
Dina

I will give a shout-out to my fellow AIGAC members, Clear Admit and Accepted.com both of which have excellent interview databases at https://blog.clearadmit.com/category/int ... w-reports/ and https://www.accepted.com/mba/interviews/advancedsearch.aspx. I refer my clients there.

Our 2 cents for MBA interviews: https://www.aringo.com/MBA_admission_interviews.htm
THE BIG 9: VERY COMMON QUESTIONS
THE BIG 9: VERY COMMON QUESTIONS
- Could you walk me through your resume?
Why MBA?
Why do the MBA now?
Why our school?
What are your short term/long term post-MBA career goals?
What are your 3 greatest strengths?
What are your 2 greatest weaknesses?
What do you think will be the biggest concern of the Admissions Committee
in evaluating your application?
Do you have any questions for me?
