it should be C :In Hungary,as in much of Easter Europe, an overwhelming proportion of women work, many of them in middle management and light industry.
because the introduction is with prepositional phrase so we need "as" and not "like" --->so D and E are out .also for parallelism we need --->"in hungry,as in ....." so B is out also modifier after comma in B is faulty ."which" cannot refer to "women" so A is out
