plz someone sugest me how to register for gmat without using credit card
i m in india
can icici debit card will do the task
does soneone know any gmat helpine fone numder or email for registration in india?

ask your uncle or somebody who already has one.

credit card is necessary i think,
you from Bombay?
I know the office/building where TOEFL & GMAT is conducted
its in Andheri East, Marwah house.
may be you should contact them.

do u have any idea bout registering with a n icici bank debit card

i have applied for it and will be activated in few days they[bank] said edbitcard can be used in same way as credit card online but i m not 10o%sure though Rolling Eyes

oes ne1 have knowledge about that?

i presume u r working and earning.

u will need to open a saving bank acct at ICICIbank & they ll provide a free debit card.
their16 digit card can be used just like CC.

god!! i never thought i would solve such queries on GMAT related forum. Very Happy

man i asked at that bank offifcials say yes to watever i ask Rolling Eyes
indian marketing i reckon

however i asked gmac helpline they said any debit card which have a security code at back Idea now wats that upto? Evil or Very Mad

icici says their code number is that security code they never deny nything u ask Evil or Very Mad but will go toommmorw and ask Arrow {got reply from gmac only today}

here is the reply of gmac to make it clear :

Dear Candidate,

Thank you for writing to Pearson VUE.

All candidates are required to register for GMAT exam through one of
these
methods:
1. online at www.mba.com
2. Call +61 2 9478 5430 between 9:00am-6:00pm AEST Monday - Friday
3. Fax the form in the GMAT Bulletin to +61 2 9901 3330

Debit card can be used by candidates to make payments however the debit
cards must be those ones that are endorsed by Visa or Mastercard. It
should
also have the 3 digit security code at the back of the card. Other
than
these particular debit cards, other debit cards are not acceptable.

If you have any further inquiries, please do not hesitate to write back
or
contact on +61 2 9478 5430.

well in that case:

your saving acct debit card wont help.
