Hi Jon,
So I have submitted my apps to MIT, CBS and Booth...
I didn't inform them 2 critical things....
1) My University is ultra elite in my major...it has been there since 1927....and alumni
are sitting right at the top of every single company in my industry....
It's a very non-traditional industry and an unknown major.....
An MBA is rarely (almost nil)pursued in my industry..so I guess that the adcoms won't be aware of
my major...and I thought this information would be irrelevant so I didn't pass this info...until I read your post somewhere...
2)Second, the grading policy at the institution is very unique and again I didn't include this info...I recently got results of my WES evaluation which says my GPA 3.93/4.0
Please suggest what to do....
GPA

Hey there good sir,
Well I think that it's a little bit late for both of these things. The thing is that the ranking of your university, and the equivalence of your GPA are two things that you really need to have put in the first time around. The problem is that it's not really a good idea to contact the Adcom to inform them ONLY about this type of info, because it seems either nitpicky or like you are trying too hard.
I mean, imagine you send a letter to the AdCom and the letter says "Hey the 7.2 in my university which I thought was equivalent to a 3.4 is really a 3.9". It sounds a bit pushy, and actually you need to let the school evaluate it how THEY see fit. I mean, if you had thought about it before, you could have subtly "helped them along", but I think that now at this point, it is better to leave things alone.
Good luck! I hope you get fantastic results,
