How about C ?

'as a result' is used when you are describing a consequence of something. Here we need a reason for something that already happened

"resulting" can be used here as the action happened in past.

moreover, "removing" and "clearing" are parallel in C

BTW, StarDust845, can you embed images rather than attaching a word document? You will get much more responses...opening a doc is very cumbersome..

One more way apart of embeding is to -

Run 'mspaint', paste and save the file as .JPG. Then 'Add an attachment' ..It will come out as inline attachment (similar to embedding)

I would go with A

The rabbit population has increased as a rseult of the removal of X and the clearing of Y sounds concise

I tried that, I mean copy and paste the jpg file directly in my response, but it didn't work. I haven't tried the Mspaint method though.

yes OA is A. Now that I see sankruth's rewording, A seems right.

Calista.
