In scheduling the hours for the exam, I was hoping for a noon time exam. However, I cant seem to find a time for this. WIll this hurt my scores?

Er there's no co-relation between time of the Exam and your score. However there exists a very definite co-relation between time of exam and YOUR performance. I chose the morning slot because i am at my best and freshest in the morning. By the time afternoon rolls around i'm more likely to performing below par.

It comes down to what YOU are comfortable with. Are you a morning person? in that case, choose the morning slot. If timings don't matter, then dont bother. Just pick a date for when you think you are likely to be most prepared and go for it.

I have seen other people say that they scheduled the test in the afternoon to help their concentration. I believe I saw places saying that you there are various times available.

My local test center (and all the test centers within 150 miles from here) all only had 8 am start times.

This was a little disappointing, but at least I am aware and am preparing to have focus and concentration early in the morning.

Zachary,

If you can only take a morning test, I would recommend running on a morning schedule at least a week before the test. If an 8 AM test means you need to get up at 6 AM, then get up at 6 AM for a week. I would also recommend spending at least an hour each morning studying, so that your body is used to doing GMAT problems so early in the morning.

Another thing that helped me alleviate stress on test day was to have my husband drive me to the testing center. The center was in a nearby city with which I was not familiar, and if I got lost, that may have brought back the text anxiety I worked so hard to suppress.

Lastly, do take the time to eat a good breakfast! The test is long, and your brain needs thinking food. You can snack during breaks, but I found it a little hard to have an appetite during the test, despite being hungry.

Best wishes,

Tatiana

Tatiana,

Thank you so much for all the advice. I have been doing this and I have about 6 weeks to prep for that! Excellent advice!
