Hi guyz,
I took my test on Feb 6...and was shocked to see score of 620 (Q : 49 V:27). I really dont know what went wrong. The prep was good. Was consistently getting score of 700 when i took GMATPrep. I felt so low when i saw the score. Though i am planning to apply for Singapore colleges not sure this score is sufficient..

I was very tensed on Test day. Started well with quant. first three questions were medium type. Next couple of questions were very tricky...wordy...I got tensed and skipped two of those questions....but ended up finishing quant with 20 minutes to spare......

Morale was already down because i had skipped some questions thought would get low score in quant, skipped 5 mintues break and started with verbal directly. Passages were pretty long, but i kept my cool and solved them..SC's were difficult....I had to solve last 10 questions in 15 mintues....I think i misjudged my timing ...

I had worked very had..referred...SC manhattan..1000SC ...mock tests...donno wat else i need to do to improve my Verbal...am sure can score 51 in quant next time but verbal....god somebody please help me....
Have lost confidence on myself..

You should really try to bounce back! In comparing your verbal score with your quant score, you can easily tell that it's the verbal part that you need to work on. If you want to retake, then my advice is to focus on verbal for a while and maybe slow down with quant. You are obviously strong in quant, since you got 49 after skipping two questions.
Unfortunately I can't really help you with any other advice, since I have barely started my prep (which is, for the moment, just hanging around here and taking a few CATs). Anyway, you should never lose confidence in yourself.

Dude, it's not the end of de world. What r u going to gain by losing confidence? NOTHING.. so, dont lose it . Just hold on. Give urslf a break. Take a trip. Feel relaxed. Concentrate on ur work, if u ve 1 (u kno, nowadays tis hard to find ppl wit work Razz ). Go see all ur fav. movies. And, then restart. I believe this exam can definitly b beaten. Jus high school math which u ve alrdy beat.

Verbal: Timing is a major issue for u. If u ve been scoring in the high 600s in the preps, then i think u jus panicked in de exam. DO NOT CARRY OVER ur quant's performance on to ur VERBAL, next time. GIVE EACH Q, its required attention. Treat each with the same vigour. Don't try to estimate how u r performing. That's not for u to do. And, also no point in doing it. It just builds up or down ur stress. So, if u can maintain ur calm next time, i think u ll see the 7 in the 100's digit. Smile of ur score.
The trick is not trying to answer all th SCs. The weightage is for RC and CR and then SC. So, there will be some experimental SCs which u can skip (skip means mark some ans. choice n go ahead.) try getting all ur RC and CR right and skip around 5 SCs, u ll get a good score. Also, BOLD FACE CR can b skipped as ppl put more time into it. If u feel that all ur learnings is not helping u identify the error in the SC in 30 secs, skip the SC. But, u ve to b very sure about it..
SC in 50 to 60 secs, CR in 2 mins and RC(with 4 Qs) in 10 to 11 mins is the time limit.

Also, may b this test hlpd u relieve all tat accumulated tension. So, next time, u give the tension to GMAT.

If u r trying for NTU and NUS, i think score is less. depends on ur work-ex n rest of the package. If u ve gr8 work X and can pull off xllnt essays, go for it. I think it is alrdy the 3rd round. So, better do it fast.
All de best.
