GMAT 680. Should i apply or retake it?

by Mayank1792 » Mon Mar 21, 2016 6:25 am
Hi,
I have a 3 year old GMAT score of 680.
Q:50, V:31
I took it to apply to the ISB YLP, but i didnt get through.

So, i joined Siemens Right out of college and have been working there ever since.

I am planning to apply for the fall intake this year. I want to do my MBA in finanace.
So, my question is whether to retake the test or not? Will a 3 year old score weaken my application?
My target schools are NUS, Cornell, Ross, McCombs and Kellogg.

What are my chances?

Easy answer: retake it. You want your GMAT to be above 700 for these schools, an your 59% verbal (think percentages, not score numbers) may concern the adcom. A more balanced score would make you more competitive for top MBA programs, even if your quant dips a bit.
Good luck!
