Hey guys,
The 1st class has just finished. It was very informative. Aaron is a very good teacher and a really charismatic/nice guy. I won't go into details coz you really ought to check it out for yourselves, but at the end of the session there is a large Q&A "kind of thingy" (for the lack of better word in my dictionary, at 4 am in the morning here). So if you have any questions and you want them answered by a smart guy who has been around the GMAT for quite some time, be sure to write them down and ask them when time comes. Also the more people to come the better the questions will be and we all would hear the answers. So I definitely encourage you to register and attend, if you haven't already. You won't regret it.

Additionally, there is a promotion on KAPLAN classes on top of what you already get for being a BTG member.

And finally I would like to thank Eric, again, for making all this possible.

Kaplan Event

by aaron.brown » Tue Feb 03, 2009 1:19 pm
Hi Everyone,

I really enjoyed having you all in class last night. I've also loved working with the Beat the GMAT team. (Eric, you and your compatriots do great work).

A couple of quick notes for tomorrow's classes:

1) This class is not actually identical to the first session of our typical class. Instead, we teach some key strategies for a few different question types and discuss the test and scoring in general--whereas in the first session of our typical class we focus exclusively and in-depth on Quantitative strategies.

2) Based on some of the feedback and input from Monday night, I've gone ahead and restructured some of the content. This means, I will be teaching brand new questions on Wednesday. At the 12 pm EST class, I will go over Data Sufficiency, Sentence Correction and Critical Reasoning questions. In the 10 pm class, we'll cover the same initial questions AND do a quiz with 3 additional questions.

In other words, if you attended on Monday night and would like to see some new material, feel free to join us again. Those of you who couldn't make Monday night, definitely check us out at 12 pm EST (for a shorter lunch-time version) or 10 pm EST (for all of you West Coasters and night owls).

Thanks,
Aaron Brown

I sat in on the virtual class and it was very helpful! Aaron explained content and stratgey very well. Additionally, he explained the answers in way that made it easy to understand. The chat room was helpful also in that other participants had great questions and comments.

We had a great time! After the class was finished and the instructor logged off, the particpants stayed on to chat - until they closed us down. It got late, midnight in some areas.

The input from everyone during the class was very helpful.

Are there any recent dates that we should know about? I tried to go to the site, but couldn't find anything current. Thank you!
