im new to the whole process, i want to know the efficient way to start the preparation, please let me know in detail about the books

Start with buying an OG 12. Try giving the diagnostic without any prep... or downloading the GMATPrep exam from mba.com

It will help decide which areas u need to work on... whether you can do it yourself...or need online instructors or keep preparing yourself. What kind of a target score do you have in mind will also help you decide on the preparation time and schedule.
