Hi,

To be honest, I am a starter in preparing GMAT. I have close to 14 years experience and intersted to get back to Grad school.

How do I start ? Any plan or roadmaps which I should follow for GMAT preparation.

1) Where should I start first ? and
2) How do I improve the prep process.

Please provide your inputs and assistance in making my dream come true.

Thanks,
Govind @ GAspire 2013

Hi Govind,

Your first step will likely be to buy the "OG" or Official Guide For GMAT Review- that book is loaded with information but also has a diagnostic for both quantitative and verbal sections and this is a "must have" because it uses questions that were once featured in official GMAT exams. Once you take those diagnostics you'll probably get a good feel for what type of study route you should take.

Aside from that, you should take a baseline GMAT, find a free test (there are many available from different websites) but take a practice GMAT and get your baseline.

While all of these steps don't necessarily require "studying" they will all help in showing you some improvement points while also giving you an idea of just how broad (or narrow) your studies will need to be.

Once you do all of this diagnostic work and need some help in determining where to go from there, you could come back and post your findings and people will be able to assist in telling you what your next steps should be.

Good luck!
