I am relieved although not very happy as i wanted to cross the 700 barrier, but thats ok.. my verbal skills are not that good i guess.. should have read some books/novels early on .
Timming is the main thing if you are weak in either Quant or Verbal. For me I panicked in my first attempt in Quant due to timing issues and thought verbal was affected because of that..Second time i did not study much.. just went for a retake... came to know my verbal is messed up.... Last, the third attempt was today... now i am on the ground and will settle for an mba may not be the best college.
Preparation: In first attempt i did sooo many practice tests.. atleast 20.. was scorind 720-740 in GMatPrep and 800score... and 650-680 in kaplan, and rest. I also solved lot of Quant problems from this site on daily basis during my first attempt. I prepared a lot for my final attempt, did a veritas verbal weekend course... but i guess my reading is not that fast and so not much improvement. This section of beatthegmat has always given hope, reading stories of so many to be mbas... thanks all..
what all schools should i try for with a 690... i am in IT industry 8 yrs exp.. done MS in IT from india. any suggstions will be helpful. |
