Choice is between C and E. but I will choose C on account of conciseness.

    OA anyone?

    imo :E

    A,B and D r out,,,,

    b/w c and e

    ie

    between "since" and "because"

"because" denotes the closest causal conjunction.

I would say E for two reasons:

Advocates clearly refers to the 3 men, therefore "men" must be specified, otherwise there is a possible confusion with the "papers"

BECAUSE is a better conjunction than SINCE

How to decide between C and E here?

It might sound vague.. but the statement doesnt mention all 3 writers as men. In that case how can we choose E?

Them is ambiguous because it could reference the articles as well as the people who wrote them.
