Easy Tips on Profile Evaluation: Part 1 Post Sat Feb 04, 2012 4:20 pm
Applying to a B school costs approx. $75-$150 and more than that a lot of time doing research about the school and then writing application essays. So it’s very essential that you shortlist right B schools where the chances of getting an admission call are higher.

There is always a statistical method to find your chances of getting an admission call from a particular B school by analyzing its GMAT score past admitted students. Before I dig more into this I would like to make it clear that this statistical analysis should only be considered as a directional tool as NOTHING can match an applicant’s WILL and TALENT even when there is a little chance of getting into desired B school.

GMAT admission probability calculator only analyzes GMAT score which is a key factor for each B school while assessing applicant’s profile. This tool also assumes that the B schools take students from all backgrounds (in terms of GMAT score also) to maintain the diversity of the class. Analyzing the GMAT score profile of students previously entered in B School is a good way to ascertain your chances to get an admission call. I recommend you to definitely look into the historical GMAT score data of a B school before shortlisting the B schools for application. Admission consultants charge a lot for the same analysis which can be spend towards your college fees.
