Is the answer E?f2001290 wrote:If M is a positive integer, then M^3 has how many digits?
(1) M has 3 digits.
(2) M^2 has 5 digits
Statement (1) says M has 3 digits. M could be 100 or M could be 300 and their cubes have different digits. Hence not sufficient.
Statement (2) says M^2 has 5 digits. Again M could be starting from 100 and could be 300. Again the number of digits in the cubes vary.Hence not sufficient.
Considering both statements does not helpus identify the number of digits again.
