1. K is a set of integers such that if the integer r is in K, then r + 1 is also in K. Is 100 in K?
(1) 50 is in K.
(2) 150 is in K.

... the statement says that if there is a number r then the set will also contain r+1 ..
.. so according to the first statement 50 is part of the set .. so accordingly 51 shuld also be part of the set .. similarly if 51 is a part then 52 will also be a part of the set .. so on .. we can say that 100 will also be part of the set ..
.. the second statemnet says that 150 is part of the set .... but we dont know the position of 150 in the set ..for all we know 150 culd be the first number of the set ... so though we can say that 151 is a part of the set .. we cannot say with absolute certainity that 149 also be part of the set .. so we cannot say for sure that 100 will be part of the set .. so insufficient .. so
