Question 1:

Take x = 16, y = 2, z = 1. Satisfies I
Take x = 0.4, y=0.5, z=0.9. Satisfies II
Take x=8, y = -2, z = 1. Satisfies III

I guess all 3 are ok.

Question 2: I recall posting a reply earlier to this question on the DS
forum. Can't seem to locate it now...
