Let me check with Manhattan GMAT to see whether that's possible. Thanks for the question,

Eric

Sorry for the slow response. I spoke to my contact at Manhattan GMAT and they will indeed reimburse in that scenario!

I receive queries from my other networks about the BTG Scholarships. I must clear some points here...

[1.] First of all Please go through the Beat The GMAT scholarship page:
It's written in simple English & has covered all required points.

One of the doubts/misconceptions applicants have is 'BTG would favour applicants who're very active on (or contributed to) forums.
[2.] The winners selected are not based on their amount of participation in the forum. Please do not misunderstand and try to relate this scholarship chances with your no. of posts in the forums.

Thank you.

I confirmed with Stacy that her company will reimburse in the event that a scholarship winner has already purchased consulting services.

Thanks!

Hello,

My question to you was that the previous BTG scholarship winners had a few post (less than even 5) and still they got the scholarship.

I can frame my confusion in a CR question style. It was something like:

Less no. of Post ==> scholarship winner

Conclusion,

The more you are inactive ==> the higher is your chance of getting the scholarship.

However, now I truly understand what was the Flaw in MY ARGUMENT.

Thank You Eric

Thank You Pranav

Regards,

Karan

Hello,

I was reading up on the details requried for this scholarship and happened to notice that we can write a 300 word essay showing financial need. In case I need to go in for this, I understand that I would need to share with you the official salary slip and other financial details. However, attachments are not encouraged.

How do I share with you this information? Confused

Regards

Eric,

I have a question similar to the above post. The rules state "Candidates must submit this information in the body of a single e-mail to scholarship@beatthegmat.com. We will not read attachments (pictures are exceptions)."

So if i have to send in proof of my financial need in the form of pay stubs, statements etc. what is the best way to submit those. In the previous post you asked the other applicant to submit the attachments, can i consider that as a universal rule. Also (sorry if this sounds stupid) if i'm allowed to submit such attachments would they be included in the word limit. To make my question clear, if i had written an essay of 300 words describing my need and then attached some proof to substantiate this fact, does it violate the 300 word count?

Sorry for these queries but i wanted to make sure that i dont get disqualified.

Also i'd like to thank everybody behind this scholarship for this wonderful opportunity that you are giving to prospective B-School applicants.

Good questions guys, I will modify the scholarship page to reflect my response here.

The answer to your question, hk, is no--your attachment to validate financial is separate from your essay response.

THANKS SO MUCH guys for being so careful about reading the rules! I'm so impressed!

You're welcome, we look forward to reviewing your app!

By the way, I noticed that you have an MBA blog--would you be willing to write a quick post and/or make a link to this scholarship competition?

Thanks and all the best!

How strict is the word count? Lets say I have 103 words for my bio is this grounds for disqualification?

Thanks!
