Chance for Stanford and NYU Stern Post Mon Apr 23, 2012 5:12 am
I just finished my GMAT test today:

Quantitative: 50 (92%)
Verbal: 37 (82%)
Total: 710 (92%)

I have over 7 years experience in Banking, and now working in a top Investment bank in Singapore, with a role in Operations Control.
Prior to my current job, I worked in a Shanghai for 6 years, - 2 years in a National bank, 4 years in global top commercial banks.
I am female, non-native English speaker.

Although I aimed to get a higher score, 730-750 will be satisfactory, but this is the score i got today.

Can I still aim at Stanford and NYU Stern with this score? Or should I actually consider to re-take the test?
Appreciate your opinions. thanks,

Hi Serena TTT,
Thanks so much for your post. If you're asking just about your GMAT score here, then I would say that yes, you are in the running in terms of being a competitive applicant. Your score is about average for Stanford, and above average for Stern. It's hard to assess from what you've stated here whether or not these programs are a good fit for you. I don't have a sense of what sort of goals you have, or who you are outside of your work and academics. I'm happy to set up a time to do a brief initial (more detailed) assessment of your profile. Please contact info@clearadmit.com to speak with one of our counselors.
Best,
Deena

Thanks Deena. I decided to re-take the GMAT so I will look at this later. Thanks again,

Regards,
Serena
