Hi, any thoughts? I know it depends on "what I'm personally looking for in a program", but any thoughts? Where would you go if you got accepted to both programs and money was not really an issue? All comments are welcome. Thanks in advance.

BU's MBA is in second tier. If you want to work in U.S. I would say BU could be better but if I were you I would consider Toronto Rotman. UT is located at the heart of Canada's largest financial districts and has great alumni network throughout major financial institutions such as BMO, RBC, CIBC, and TD, and the Canadian banks have weathered the financial crisis quite well compared with their counterparts in U.S. So if you are considering a finance major, I would say go for Rotman.

Thanks bj. What if I were to say I was inteending to focus on strategy at Rotman if I go? Their website says Bain/Mckinsey/Booz/ATKearney all recruit on campus so this leads me to believe it's pretty solid. any thoughts?

yeah, but you have to remember that Booz/McKinsey are recruiting at Rotman for their offices/projects in Canada. It is very difficult as a graduate of Rotman to compete with Ivy League graduates swarming the global consulting scene. Just take a look at the profiles of its associates provided on McKinsey website. They have plenty of people who graduated form top 10 business schools in U.S. - Stanford, Harvard, Wharton, Chicago, Columbia, and etc... In the end, it's comes down your performance but you also need to be realistic and not have such high hopes. All I know, from what I have heard from my peers in the financial industry in Canada, is that Rotman is very well known within Canada for its finance program. If you go outside Canada, Rotman's repute falls short very quickly.
