| I just got the official score report today and got a 5 on the AWA section.. i'm curious, do schools really look at this score/the essays.. ? how much of a factor does this play in the overall process? |

What I have found is that it depends on the school. A student of mine who was planning to attend Thunderbird told me that they wanted to see a high score. However, I don't think my school (Babson) put much weight on it at all, as several members of my cohort scored pretty badly in this section.
In short- get in touch with the schools that interest you.
