Application Blunder Post Wed Jan 11, 2012 5:23 am
Hi Jon,

I was wait-listed by Goizueta, and I requested to them for some feedback.

I got a response from them informing me that my application was solid; it's just that the year is very competitive and now I should only wait.

I thought of forwarding that to a friend, but instead I sent it back to the lady from the admission's office. I had written "This is what I recieved from Goizueta. I guess there is not much that I can do."

She replied to me: "I think you meant this for someone else. Don't give up hope you just need to be patient and see what happens."

I am really worried that I have hampered my chances of admission to the program by this. I did write to her apologizing for the error, and reaffirmed my interest in the program.

What do you think about it?

Best,
Shaaji

I would say "no big deal". They know that it is tough for you and all other candidates, and you did nothing that any other candidate wouldn't have done.

Buuuut there may be something you CAN do, like writing an additional essay, visiting, getting another recommendation. If you have some solid material to provide them, you might want to do that after a while.

Thank you Jon! It's a great relief.

I have sent them some additional information, and that has already been added to my application. I will just wait it out then.
