I thought it would be interesting to see how long people spend studying for the GMAT before taking it for the FIRST time.

I heard that the average is 3 months but I bet that members of this forum spend far longer preparing for the GMAT because people here seem extremely eager to get a top score compared to other GMAT takers I have met.

Personally, I plan to study for roughly 4 months before taking the test.

Please could you answer the survey or post your comments?

    - If you have already taken the test, put down the amount of time you spent studying
    - If you have not yet taken the test, put down the amount of time you think you'll spend studying before taking the test
