(B) speak on this one occasion since she firmly believed that many minority people, likely most, would have agreed
(C) so speak on this one occasion due to her firmly believing that many minority people, even most, would likely agree
(D) do so on this one occasion because she firmly believed that many minority people, if not most, would agree
(E) do so on this one occasion since she firmly believed many minority people, and even most, would likely agree

'even most ' and 'likely most' are wrong way of expressing an idea

the only sentence which corrects this is D

don't know to explain in a gramatical way
but if you read, you can easily tell 'if not most' is the correct way of expressing

I thought "D" changes the meaning somehow.
Has anybody got a grammatical reason to tell that "A" is wrong

I approached this problem with the understanding that "if" is used for a hypothetical scenario. Since Ms. Bakara is not certain, that most Black people would agree with her, we must use "if." Aside from sounding awkward, the four other choices implies that it is certain that most Black people would agree with her and we do not know this.

I think the usages - likely most would...would likely etc are wrong usage...so D is the best !!
