LSAT and Kaplan Explanations

by adham » Sat Mar 07, 2009 12:06 pm
Hi Guys,

I have received a lot of messages regarding "LSAT sets and Kaplan's explanations to them". I have found and downloaded them from one of the upload sites. I recently checked and found out that the the links have been removed. I have around 30 sets and explanations( pdf form). But they are huge to upload.

IMO, the explanations were provided by KAPLAN LSAT PREP
There are the following written notes on the first page of one of the explanations:

______________________________________________

LSAT

RELEASED TEST IX EXPLAINED

A Guide to the October, 1993 LSAT

KAPLAN

The answer to the test question.

Guys,

Search on the official site of Kaplan or on other sites. I am sure you will find them.

I am uploading one of the LSAT test and the explanation pair for your reference. Kindly find the attached files.

Best of luck

Adam

Guys,

I have some SC notes, which, I think, help you master your SC skills.

I will upload seveal notes (SC, RC, CR) one by one in several posts.

I have collected them during my Gmat Prep.

Thanks for sharing your study materials with rest of us.
But some of it is already on BTG's server.
Lets direct the thread viewers to the locations where these files are originally located instead of uploading files ... saves redundancy right. ;)
eg.. https://www.beatthegmat.com/resources.html#gmat_verbal

Thanks once again.

Adham,

Could you please let us know the exact titles of the LSAT books you used ? I searched Amazon and seemed to find a lot of books on LSAT Tests and I am not sure which one to follow. Also, as others have asked, did you mean you practiced RCs from Kaplan book and read their explanations or does Kaplan have a book explaining LSAT RC questions - it would be great if you can please clarify...

Again, thank you for taking the time and helping us out - it is really appreciated.

Sonu

Hi Guys,

As You, guys, mentioned, LSAT tests are available as books(hard copy) or soft versions(pdf). These tests are collections of retired actual questions. Kaplan LSAT Prep service has provided its explanations to them. Kaplan has explained in detail every question in every section(1RC section, 2 Logical Reasoning s, 1 Analytical Reasoning(Logic Games) s). I have found and downloaded both LSAT tests and Kaplan explanations(total 60 files) from one of the upload sites. These explanations are available as soft versions. The explanation to each LSAT test is an independent file in the form of pdf. I recently checked the links but they have been removed. I have around 30 LSAT sets and 30 Kaplan explanations to them. But they are huge to upload.

The following appears on one of the "Kaplan explanations" files(pdf) to the LSAT test:
_______________________________________

KAPLAN LSAT PREP

LSAT

RELEASED TEST IX EXPLAINED

A Guide to the October, 1993 LSAT

KAPLAN

The answer to the test question.

_______________________________________

IMO, it is useful to search them from LSAT forums.
And also check the official site of Kaplan LSAT prep. It should have some info.

If I find any information, I will post it.

I did the LSAT tests(RC and LR sections) and read the Kaplan explanations for reference. I understood my mistakes and learned how to attack specific question types, reading Kaplan explanations.

Best of luck with your prep.

PowerScore publishes a complete guide to all published LSAT questions. I found the explanations quite helpful.
