710 (Q48, V39) - It's finally over Post Fri Jan 13, 2012 10:04 am
Hi all. I have been an very light poster but frequent reader of the site. In my toughest of times preparing for the GMAT I got some inspiration from reading others' stories so I figured I would share mine as well.

I started the journey in September, with a Manhattan GMAT course. Seemingly on the right track with all practice CAT scores in the low 700s, I took the GMAT my first time in November and scored a disappointing 670. I thought I would never score above 700.

After a week of relaxation, I got back on the GMAT train and started to use Knewton because of its' 50 point guarantee. While I only score 40 points higher, I was extremely pleased with their service and thought that it provided me with much better strategies and overall much more test-like problems.

While my 710 pales in comparison to the 750+ that many people on this site receive, I am pleased with it and will let the rest of my credentials do the talking now. For those struggling with the process- keep working at it! At some point the "lightbulb" will go on and you will really start to "get it", as I did. Cheers, D

Hey if you're happy with your score, it doesn't need to be a 750+! Congrats, bosox8! Smile Where are you planning on applying?

Oh and btw you could get $20 out of us by posting reviews for the two courses you took here: http://reviews.beatthegmat.com/
