680 (Q50 / V31) What's my chance? Post Mon Mar 26, 2012 6:12 pm
Hi,

I'm Thai citizen, here is some of my profile :
* 3 years of work experience, in energy business as an analyst
* graduate from engineering with GPA 2.9/4
* GMAT 680 (Q50 / V31)
* have several extracurricular activities, especially in leadership role

I plan to apply for next fall, my target school is :
- Michigan Ann-Arbor, Kelley, UNC, Wisconsin-Madison, Vanderbilt, UIUC, Mendoza (Notre Dame)

What's my chance to get into one of those schools ?

And which area should I strengthen ? Acquire Another 1-year Master degree with a good academic record or still work for another year ?
I'm not sure which one should be better.

Thanks for help Very Happy

Dear sir,
Your school list seems like a reasonable one given your work experience and your GMAT. As for what to do with your year - best thing would be if you could get a promotion! Smile (For lots of reasons), otherwise, do what you can to take LEADERSHIP positions or responsibilities in the work, and in your volunteer community activities. Two of the strongest points that you can present the AdCom with is good leadership and quick advancement, and if you can show that, you will be off to a very good start indeed!
