Topic: 640 (48/29) GMAT is not over yet for me :(
PostWed Feb 07, 2007 2:21 am

Guys, gave my GMAT on Feb 2nd and scored a mere 640 (48/29).I am disappointed as I was expecting to get a 700+.
Thought of sharing my expriance with u if it can b of any little help to u guys.

So, for now..wanna take a break. And planning to give my best shot in some time later part of the year.
( I am confident that i can defintely score a 700+ ).

i am planning for MBA in 2008 which means will start my Admission process by Sep 07.

(In above sentence, the usage of "which" is wrong. Which should always preceded by a , and it should refere to the noun/thing before the , Smile).

Test Preparation :
Started in Sep..but till Nov, had no time 2 prepare much , as I was damn busy with the work.

And in Dec/Jan, prepared seriously (2-3 hrs a day).

My learnings about GMAT:

1) Its not as tough as we think at the same time not easy too!
2) strategy: Practice,Practice and practice
3) Keep track of the mistakes u've done and what u learnt from it.

I'll write on my test day exp in another post.

Hi Venkat,

Dont worry. You will definitely achieve your goal of a 700+ score. I gave my GMAT a few weeks before and got 630..and i am planning to give it again. So i guess i am in the same boat as you.

Furthermore i am also looking at applying for fall 08. Would be keen to know what colleges are you targeting, your work background...if you are ok with sharing that kind of info.

Hope to hear from you and once again all the best!!!

have a nice and relaxing weekend,
