hey hi all,
I was waiting for this moment since long time.
Today i gave my GMAT
I scored a 620. . Maths 45 and Verbal 31

Though i know that i could do a little better in MAths i think that I did my best..

I started preparing seriously 3 months ago.
The first test i gave i got a 400

then i started preparing as per the instructions in this forum and appearing tests

Kaplan 1 - 510
Kaplan 2 - 510
KAplan 3 - 550
Nova test - 630 [this is where i got encouraged]
800 test - 625
Manhattan test1 - 560 [I was discouraged]
Manhattan test2 - 600
GMAT PREP1 - 550
Manhattan test3 - 630
GMAT prep 2 630

FInal one 620..

I never crossed 650 in my entire study period. Thats why i think that I got a score that i was capable of.

Friends all of you who post in this Forum are very good and helpful. I have followed this site for a long time. Thanks for all the help.

I want to know what do you think about my score. I know its not very good. but do you think that its a decent score???

which colleges should i apply. . please help

Thanks guys.

It depends on where you wish to apply and how much experience you have. Most of the top b schools expect minimum score of 600. And you are above it. So you can try applying. The other things will be crucial in your application package.

WEll thanks for the details on your scores..I have been trying to reach 600 on kaplan..but the max i can go is 540 in 3 tests..one more yet to go..after that i will take the power prep 2 tests..
i am targetting a score above 650..any tips and suggestions?

Thanks for the reply Mate.
I need those encouraging words. .. Smile

Well something to tip you on your performance.
What stage are you on your prep? If you have time. .
Power Pres Critical reasoning Bible - Use this for CR
Manhattan VErbal - For Sentence correction

If you refer these material I am sure that you wil impreove on your verbal . . in SC and CR

In case you dont have much time. . dont panic OG is also good.
Make sure when you are practicing u mark all your mistakes. Just note all your learnings. .
Noting and understanding mistakes is more important than solving new ones. Once you learn your mistake see that you dont repeat it ! and you will see progress in your marks.

dont try to solve many papers. solving many papers is not the target. . after you are done with learnings you can plan to work on your weakness and then take a mock. . follow a pattern then u will see good improvement.

ATB

let me know if you want to know anything.
