I just took the gmat prep and scored a 49 on the math with about 17 min left, missing 10 questions. Looking at the score distribution this is in the 99th percentile. Has anyone gotten higher than 50? Is it worth continuing to study for the extra few scaled score points? Or is a 49 basically maxing out the math portion and i should focus on my verbal which i scored a 39 on. I only have two weeks left.

What about an 800? does one need to get a 60 on q and 60 on v to get an 800? what kind of scaled scores do you need to get to have 800? or is that impossible?

Wa. You did great. I just finish A Princeton CAT. I got 8 questions wrong, but only score 42. I made 2 mistakes in the first 20 questions. The questions are fairly easy, but I was running out of time for the last 4 questions(but I completed every question). However, my verbal is not as good as Math. I only scored 26.(16 incorrect with 14 mins remained). Can someone tell me how to better pace myself for the verbal?

My background: I have a PhD in mathematics from a Tier I school and haven't prepped for the math portion of this exam.

So I took the GMATPrep last night around 1am and scored 51 on the math section with about 20 minutes left, missing 3 questions. I think if I take my time I can get all of them right - which would be good since my verbal is not as strong. Is 60 a real score possibility?
