In the decimal representation of x, where 0 < x < 1, is the tenths digit of x nonzero?
(1) 16x is an integer.
(2) 8x is an integer. |

Statement 1
16x so if x is 0.0001
then 16x= 0.00016
So we don't know the Tenths value
if x=0.1 then 16*x=1.60 in that case tents value is 6
simiarly with 8x
SO i think E
but i am not sure .
can someone explain if i am wrong |

I think it's B.
1) 16x is integer, so x = 1/2 or 1/4 or 1/8 or 1/16 (factors of 16, lest I forgot any), which means x=0,5 or 0,25 or 0,125 or 0,0625. since 1 of this values has the tenths digit 0 not sufficient
2) 8x is integer, so x = 1/2 or 1/4 or 1/8 (factors of 8, lest I forgot any), which means x=0,5 or 0,25 or 0,125. since none of this values has the tenths digit 0 sufficient |
