Hi,

I'm not too sure why statement 1 is sufficient.... (ab=1 for example, a=2, b=1/2 or a=1/2, b =2)

Can anyone help pls?

Stmt 1
(axb)(ayb) => ax*b*ab*y => ax*by*ab = 2*2*1 Suff

Stmt 2
(axb)(ayb) => ab*ab*xy = > 1*1*2 Suff
