Hi,

I thought the answer is A) but the correct one is D) - can you explain why A) is wrong?? Crying or Very sad

so as to care is wrong construction so eliminate A & B

E) leave and....changes the meaning : discard

C) in order that they is again cant go with care

Another way to go is

require smthing to is correct idiom
so discard A C E forthwith 8)

I heard "in order that" is almost always wrong in SC but "so as to" is also prefer not to use???

''so as to'' is correct but in right context.
for this problem i think It's not appropriate to place it before ''care''.

The use of the word "to" is critical in the sentence, which otherwise seems incomplete; hence eliminate A,C and E. In Choice B, we do not understand clearly who is doer of the action (i.e. caring for sick or newborn children"). Hence D

Hence i'd go with D
